A Kirkcaldie's card is a convenient way to shop

Pay no interest or charges

No interest is charged on Kirkcaldie's accounts. There are no account charges or membership fees. This means you pay only the cash price while adding flexibility and convenience to your shopping experience.
 

Your Kirkcaldie’s card

When your account is opened you will receive a distinctive green Kirkcaldie’s card that you can use in any department of the store. When making a purchase, present your card to our friendly staff. It’s as easy as that. There is no minimum purchase amount. Just sign the docket and that is all you need to do.
 

Kirkcaldie’s account

A Kirkcaldie’s account operates as a rolling credit facility that gives you flexibility to charge purchases at your convenience so long as the balance on your account does not exceed a predetermined credit limit. The credit limit may be changed at any time by applying to our credit manager. You may pay the balance in full each month or take advantage of longer interest free credit by paying the minimum due. The minimum payment is calculated as a quarter of your credit limit or the full balance, if it is lower.
 

How to pay

Each month you will receive a statement showing details of your purchases, the payments you have made, the total owing, the minimum amount to pay and the payment due date. You can pay by telephone bank transfer, internet banking, mail us a cheque or call into the accounts desk on the second floor of the store. There we can also accept payments in cash or by EFTPOS. We do not accept payment by credit card on Kirkcaldie’s accounts.
 

Supplementary cards

You may request supplementary cards at no extra cost so that other family members may charge purchases to your account. In that case you are responsible for the payments for all amounts charged to the account.
 

Extra service

With a Kirkcaldie’s account you are welcome to take goods home “On Approval” for return within ten days. Find out for yourself whether the item matches your outfit or décor and return it if you are not completely satisfied. That’s Kirkcaldie’s service! Kirkcaldie’s also have lay-by and term credit facilities. Just ask our trained staff for details. Remember, all of your purchases are competitively priced and our aim is to ensure that you are satisfied. Kirkcaldie and Stains likes to keep its loyal account customers up to date. From time to time you will receive newsletters, advance notice of upcoming promotions and invitations to special events. Please let us know of any change in your name, address and any other contact details.

Credit measures

In signing the application form you give us permission to disclose certain personal information to a credit reporting agency in order to carry out reasonable checks to confirm your credit status before accepting your application. Kirkcaldie & Stains Limited withholds the right to decline an application. Use of your card means that you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Kirkcaldie and Stains Limited may change the terms and conditions at any time but will notify all account holders affected.

If your account becomes overdue we will, at our discretion, suspend credit until all overdue amounts are paid, or close the account. All cards issued on the account remain the property of Kirkcaldie & Stains Limited and should be returned on request. We retain the right to provide information relating to overdue accounts to independent credit agencies if we consider it necessary to recover the amounts due to us. Any charges incurred through engaging a debt collection agency may be passed on to the account holder.
